Travel Reimbursement Form



    Travel reimbursement eligibility is based on the admitted student’s distance from campus. 


    Students who live more than 45 miles from campus and beyond may be eligible to be reimbursed for fuel expense up to $75
    Students who live more than 250 miles from campus may be eligible to receive either student flight reimbursement or fuel expenses up to $300.

    Qualifications
    • Only students at the admit stage at the time of visit may submit for reimbursement
    • Students must have attended and completed an official BSC Office of Admission event or daily campus visit prior to May 1.  If possible, schedule at least two weeks in advance.
    • All receipts and requests for reimbursement must be submitted to the Office of Admission no later than two weeks after the visit.  Reimbursement will be processed as part of the College's normal payment policies. 
    • Only roundtrip flight costs from home airport to Birmingham for student travel will be reimbursed.  Parents and other family members may attend; however, their expenses will not be covered by the College. Students seeking flights into other nearby airports should request approval prior to booking travel.
    • For students traveling by car, Birmingham-Southern will reimburse roundtrip fuel expenses along the route from student’s home to campus on travel days immediately before and after visit to campus. 
    • Reimbursements do not cover lodging, meals, parking, etc.
    • Checks will be made out to the student and mailed to the address indicated on the submitted reimbursement form.
    These policies are subject to change and modification by the Vice President for Enrollment at any time and the program may be adjusted as needed.
